NOW APPROVED IN FLORIDA! Introducing the FIRST oral chew to deliver up to 12 full weeks of flea and tick protection in a single dose1*

Flea and tick infestation is always a big concern for pet lovers, especially here in Florida. Well, there is now good news for all pet parents: Merck Animal Health has received FDA approval for an important product advance in the category of ectoparasiticides. New BRAVECTO is the first and only oral chew to provide rapid and consistent efficacy against both fleas and ticks for up to 12 full weeks.1*

Clinical studies have established that BRAVECTO has rapid and consistent efficacy. Flea kill begins within 2 hours of administration and reaches 100% within 12 hours1,2; BRAVECTO demonstrated ≥93% effectiveness against Dermacentor variabilis, Ixodes scapularis and Rhipicephalus sanguineus ticks 48 hours post-infestation for 12 weeks.1 The parasiticide strength of BRAVECTO does not wane throughout the 12-week dosing period.1

This new product addresses long-standing issues of compliance, since flea and tick management has been an ongoing challenge to pet owners. Unlike treatments that need monthly reapplication, BRAVECTO comes in a tasty oral chew that lasts for up to 12 full weeks.* In a US field study, 93.2% of dogs readily accepted the product, which should be administered with food.1

The powerful protection afforded by BRAVECTO works against a broad-spectrum of flea and tick species, and it was observed in studies that clinical signs of flea allergy dermatitis were substantially reduced as a direct result of flea elimination.1,3

BRAVECTO is now available—by veterinary prescription only—and is safe to use in adult dogs, puppies over 6 months of age and weighing 4.4 pounds or greater, and is also labeled for use in breeding dogs (male and female), as well as pregnant or lactating female dogs.1
