Dr. Peter Helmer is a board certified avian and exotic pet specialist.  He is one of only about 150 veterinarians worldwide that have demonstrated the knowledge and expertise necessary to achieve board certification in avian and exotic veterinary practice.  Dr. Helmer has over 10 years of experience in the treatment of avian and exotic pets.  He has presented lectures at state and national veterinary conferences on multiple topics including avian and reptile anesthesia, clinical techniques, orthopedic surgery, and diagnostic imaging.  Dr. Helmer welcomes new patients on either a primary care or referral care basis.
