Stride for Strays

Stride for Strays is the most important fundraiser of the year for Animal Coalition of Tampa. This year, hundreds of Tampa Bay’s dogs will take their companions out for a 3K stroll through beautiful Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. (Cats encourage their people to head out for a little exercise while they relax at home!)

Last year, more than 600 dogs – along with their special people– walked to raise $42,000! This provided thousands of local families with neutering services, shots and microchips for their cats and dogs to keep them safe and at home.

This year our goal is to raise even more! Individual Walkers and Teams set personal fundraising goals and enlist friends, family and co-workers to sponsor them on the Walk. Our hope is that each Walker will raise at least $100, but to encourage you to reach higher, we have incentives and prizes for those who raise more! After a leisurely or vigorous walk, dogs and people alike will enjoy browsing through an expansive vendor fair of fabulous food and pet friendly products. Adding to the festivities are bands and performers to entertain the post-Walk crowds.

Stride for Strays is truly a wonderful day for the young, old, 2-legged and 4-legged! Come as a family or form a team of friends or just bring your dog and make lots of new friends! We promise a day full of fun and excitement!
