Hands On Tampa Bay Vocational Training Program

We participate in the Hands On Tampa Bay Vocational Training Program, that places special needs students in veterinary hospitals for On the Job training.

These students work with our team learning to care for dogs and cats. Learn more by clicking here. You can also visit their Facebook page.

Cahoon’s Veterinary Externship Program

We are happy to team up with Cahoon Elementary Magnet School of Animal Science and Gifted Talent Development to give the opportunity to authentically engage students in real-world experiences directly connected to Animal Science! This program allows Elementary school students to visit “behind the scenes” at our Veterinary Hospitals, where students observe veterinarians and technicians providing medical care for patients.

We are excited to build another great community partnership that supports the School Improvement Goal to increase student engagement through differentiated instructional strategies that involves all stakeholders; students, parents, and community partners!

New Tampa Rotary Dog Park

We are a proud sponsor of the New Tampa Rotary Dog Park. This dog-based amenity, designed by the City of Tampa, is located at the New Tampa Community Park in the heart of New Tampa. The location is next door to New Tampa’s busy recreation center and skate park, and less than 1/4 mile from Freedom High and Liberty Middle schools on Commerce Park Boulevard. The dog park features mature shade trees and grass surrounded by a chain link fence with facilities for pet drinking water and waste disposal. Small dogs will enjoy a separate fenced section.

New Tampa Rotary Dog Park supporters can read up-to-the-minute information by liking the club’s Facebook page,

Hilltop Dog Park in Temple Terrace is a proud supporter of the Hilltop Dog Park in Temple Terrace. We are very proud and excited to be a part of this wonderful local dog park. Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation has provided our town with a great place for our 4 legged friends to play! Come play at the dog park and meet some new dog friends! There is an area for small dogs and large dogs, water and shelter. Click here for more photos of the Hilltop Dog Park on our Facebook page.

The Veterinary Care Foundation

The Veterinary Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable foundation created to assist veterinarians in providing no-cost or discounted care to animals in need.

As committed pet owners, many of us fail to realize that each year veterinarians donate considerable time and resources providing low or no-cost care to abandoned pets and to pets whose owners may be experiencing financial hardship.

Because Foundation operating expenses are funded through veterinarian membership fees, 100% of every dollar donated to the Veterinary Care Foundation is used to provide veterinary care for pets.

Lil’ Vet Clinic

Tampa Bay Vets is a proud contributor to the Glazer Children’s Museum’s Capital Campaign. We helped make exhibits, like the Lil’ Vet Clinic, possible. Click here for more photos of the Lil’ Vet Clinic on our Facebook page.

Adoption Program

Ask us about our Adoption Program. We recycle many homeless pets that wind up on our doorstep. We examine, test, vaccinate and spay or neuter these pets and put them up for adoption. If you are looking for a new companion, let us know!
