National Mutt Month

This December we would like to encourage you all to embrace, save, and celebrate mixed breed dogs. We understand a lot of families will be adding a new fuzzy family member to their house-holds. We would like for you to consider adopting a shelter pet, especially a mutt. They have so much character, and sometimes the combination of breeds creates such a special dog. We understand that their lineage may not be able to be traced, and their features can be hard to identify, but they offer the same love, loyalty, and companionship as their pure-bred counterparts.

Adopt from a shelter or rescue group: When you’re ready to open your heart and home to a new best friend, adopt from your local animal shelter or rescue group. Talk with shelter staff to find the perfect pet for you and your lifestyle, and remember that older pets make excellent companions too. Here are a list of adoption links:

Be assured that we continue to follow CDC guidelines and federal, state and local recommendations for practicing social distancing. We have established a phased plan to resume normal services to see our patients for healthy pet exams, all procedures and surgeries and urgent care needs.
