Behavior Care
Telemedicine consultation and guided support that works with your referring veterinarian
Pets suffering from behavior problems aren’t acting out or being difficult.
They’re asking for help.
To answer their call, Tampa Bay Animal Hospitals is proud to partner with Ease, a team of board-certified veterinary behaviorists providing remote pet behavior evaluations, tailored treatment plans, and ongoing, expert-level support at affordable costs.
How it works
1 – Referral
Similar to an in-person veterinary behavior consultation, your pet’s care journey begins with a referral from Tampa Bay Animal Hospitals. This ensures your pet’s primary veterinarian is informed and updated every step of the way.
2 – Consultation
Once your pet’s case is submitted to Ease and approved, you’ll meet with a board-certified veterinary behaviorist via video chat to discuss your pet’s behavior history and health.
3 – Diagnostic testing
Any recommended testing, such as blood work or imaging, can be conveniently performed at your preferred Tampa Bay Animal Hospitals location. Your veterinarian will share the results with Ease through your online portal.
4 – Treatment
Your Ease veterinary behaviorist designs a customized treatment plan just for your pet. This may include medication (short or long-term), environmental management, or behavioral training to help them learn new and positive responses.
5 – Follow up and support
Ease understands that behavior challenges take time to overcome. Enjoy email access to the Ease team for attentive follow-up, plus helpful resources like video tutorials, training plans, and optional one-on-one coaching.
Why Ease?
With 99% of dogs experiencing behavior problems (and an untold number of cats), and only a handful of board-certified veterinary behaviorists in the U.S., getting an appointment can be challenging.*
Ease lightens the burden for our local behavior specialist and helps more pets receive timely, personalized, specialist-level care. Without the costs of an in-person visit, it’s also more affordable than standard consultations.
Finally, Ease collaborates with your trusted Tampa Bay Animal Hospitals veterinarian to ensure we stay informed about your pet’s treatment and are available for medication refills, testing, and ongoing support.
