The Veterinary Care Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) charitable foundation has created a charitable fund to provide financial assistance to Texas and Florida area veterinarians to care for pets that have been displaced by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The Help Florida Pets Fund and Help Houston Pets Fund will provide much needed financial assistance to veterinarians that are providing veterinary care to sick and injured animals that have been adversely affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The Veterinary Care Foundation is currently providing charitable funding to more than 20 Houston area veterinary practices.

Richard Heysek, President of The Veterinary Care Foundation, stated “We have historically worked with a large number of veterinarians in the greater Houston area, so it became clear to us that we should create a charitable fund to help the many pets and their families that have been put in harm’s way as a result of this tragedy.”

The Foundation will insure that 100% of every dollar donated to the the Help Florida Pets Fund and Help Houston Pets Fundwill go directly to area veterinary practices and all contributions are fully tax deductible to donors.

The Veterinary Care Foundation was established in 2008 and has worked with more than 500 veterinary practices throughout the U.S.
