Homemade Treats For Your Pet

Show your pet some love this month with some very simple recipes for homemade treats!

Does your dog love peanut butter? Be sure your pet is not allergic to any of these ingredients before serving them. You’ll need 2 cups of flour, 2 eggs, and a half a cup of peanut butter. Mix together and splash in water as needed to make a dough. Roll out and use a cute cookie cutter to create shapes that look just like your pooch. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. We like the cookie cutters from cookiecutter.com. They have so many shapes and breeds. https://cookiecutter.com/dogs-and-cats-cookie-cutters.htm

IMPORTANT: Be sure to  to avoid peanut butter with artificial sweeteners like Xylitol.  (read more)

Does your cat love cheese? Be sure your cat is not allergic to any of these ingredients before serving them. You’ll need ¾ cup of whole wheat flour, one cup of shredded cheese (your cat’s choice), ¼ cup vanilla yogurt and mix together. Splash in water to loosen like a dough. With a corn starch sprinkled pan, roll out dough like a pizza. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut once cooled into little squares with a pizza cutter. COVID-19 Service Announcement

We remain committed to caring for our patients and meeting their health care needs in the safest and best way possible. Be assured that we continue to follow CDC guidelines and federal, state and local recommendations for practicing social distancing. We have established a phased plan to resume normal services to see our patients for healthy pet exams, all procedures and surgeries and urgent care needs.
