Dr. Necia Godzisz is originally from Warren, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s in biology, followed by a post-bachelor’s secondary teaching certification. Prior to her veterinary degree program, Dr. Godzisz acquired many years of experience with exotic animal husbandry and medicine at The Florida Aquarium in Tampa where she did extensive medical and quarantine work with birds, reptiles and mammals. Dr. Godzisz then attended the University of Florida for her veterinary medicine degree. During her veterinary degree program she completed externships with Angell’s exotic animal and neurology departments, Humane Alliance, and a poultry externship. Additionally, she did volunteer pathology work with FWC’s Mark Cunningham during the summers while attending veterinary school.
Dr. Godzisz now lives here in Tampa with her three pets, one dog named Benny, and two cats named Bisou and Beebin. She enjoys gaming of all varieties, photography, scuba diving, crafting and hiking.
