What kind of parasites do you test for in dog fecal samples? Is it just hookworms, round and whip worms?

Thank you for the question. The worms you mentioned are the more common types that are usually found in the stool. However, there are several more parasitic conditions that we look for as well such as  tapeworms,coccidia and giardia. Due to the fact that dogs’ lifestyles place them in situations where they are likley to come into contact with different types of parasites. Since some of these parasites can pass to humans it is very important to have regular fecal samples checked to confirm that they are clear of infection.
