Questions & Answers

My 8 lb yorkie had an encounter with another animal and suffered multiple scratches, small puncture wounds and a larger cut all underneath her body. Her wounds are healing nicely but she can’t put her full body weight on her back leg. She runs and walks but keeps her leg up. We don’t think her leg is broken but obviously i’m concerned about soft tissue damage or ligament strains/tears.

I am sorry to hear you are having to go through this..  you sound worried. In general, non-weight bearing on any limb can be serious.  You should have your yorkie examined and x-rayed.  Give us a call and we will get you in right way.
