Recall of Hill’s Pet Nutrition
Posted on February 4, 2019 in News

UPDATE (February 7th 2019)
Last week, Hill’s Pet Nutrition voluntarily recalled 25 varieties of its canned dog food after it was confirmed that the products contained elevated levels of vitamin D.

Since the initial announcement, eight more lot/date codes have been added to the recall list, and at least 15 pet owners in the United States and Canada have commented on Hill’s Facebook and Twitter pages that their pets became ill or died as a result of consuming the recalled products.

The official Hill’s announcement and a list of affected food can be found here.

As your pet’s veterinarians, we take these matters seriously and have the utmost concern for your pets’ health and safety.

Consumer inquiries can be directed to Hill’s Consumer Affairs at contactus@hillspet.com or (800) 445-5777.

As always, you can contact us directly regarding any concerns. You can also review the provided information on vetsource.com where you can find out what to do if your pet has consumed the affected products. This also gives you the opportunity to request a refund.
